I don't know what "specials" are, but some magic weapons do have spells, as they did in the era.
And correct, skill cap makes no difference as to gain, only your level in that skill and the difficulty of your attempt

cool. I just meant how hybrid doesn't have chivalry or any of the newer stuff.
Do different metals like valorite affect the properties of armor/weapons? Same question for leather.

Different metals do not have an effect on your armor nor is there runic weapons here,
valorite armor is just for looks

There is no concussion blow, crushing blow, or paralyzing blow here. Having 100 Anatomy & *Weapon* skill does not yield anything special.
