I think running CUB again would be kinda lame. The system was far too easy to abuse and for a while the shard hurt my eyes as everyone and their dog had neon hair/beard. It only ran once on OSI why should it run here with regularity?
This also raises a wider issue of how rares should be obtained. I would be in favour of the trophy system being scrapped entirely and all rares being obtained in an era accurate manner (sandles from NPC's, daily rares spawning etc).

Re: Clean Up Brit.
i see the tables have turned alittle :]
So realistically there is only a handfull of players that where around for the first CUB. Many others have long since got sarse or H1N1 and cant play uo anymore.
The shard has grown and besides the town invasion ect the players that have been here for last 8 months have not had the chance to be involved in a Clean up brit program nor the server birth rares that where done in december.
So whats fair? i dunno,,, its a simple question the CUB is all about the hair dyes as someone pointed out. And well the real vets of the shard have them stockpiled along with the server birth rares that are worth millions.... so i say bring a little more balance to economy, Bring back CUB... it will only decrease the prices of certain items.

Re: Clean Up Brit.
The obvious, most accurate solution, as has already been pointed out, is to run it once every 18 months. Thats how long T2A lasted, CUB was run once. So once every 18 months.
And i would love to see yearly Trinsinc invasions, although maybe move it round the towns...but then it would not be Trinsinc invasions obvioulsy.

Re: Clean Up Brit.
I find it kinda funny that its called "Clean Up Britiannia" and yet the only reason anyone wants it is to craft/collect tons of junk to get rares.
Its funny too because locally there was talk once of paying people a certain amount per bag of trash they collected from beaches and such...to help keep everything clean. It was shot down, of course, because people wouldn't turn in trash they collected, they'd turn in trash they created. Lol
I got a better way to do 'clean up britiannia'. Have a seer run auction. No silly ticket system, no stupid automated trash barrels. Simply have a seer set up an auction of rare items. The difference is instead of bidding gold you bid 'junk'. The value of items is much the same as the ticket system so you could bid 2000 bows, for example. In addition, every X amount of gold and/or other stackable equals one point.

woudl be hard to get everyone at the same place at once, or over the fourms less than half the population frequents the forums.Ronk wrote:I find it kinda funny that its called "Clean Up Britiannia" and yet the only reason anyone wants it is to craft/collect tons of junk to get rares.

perhaps some sort of bid stone in britania with items and hows bid what on them
turn in items for points, and use the points to bid on stuff
seems liek work though :<

You do multiple auctions at various times over the week. If people can't show up, tough luck. As you said above, UO isn't fair.BlackFoot wrote:woudl be hard to get everyone at the same place at once, or over the fourms less than half the population frequents the forums.Ronk wrote:I find it kinda funny that its called "Clean Up Britiannia" and yet the only reason anyone wants it is to craft/collect tons of junk to get rares.

Re: Clean Up Brit.
If there was a change to CUB I'd suggest a simple reclaim cap where an account can only turn in a certain amount of tickets.
That would put a limit on the tickets themselves and keep prices up while giving everyone a chance to cash in on the system.
