stealing question

Post by mrbojangles »

If a thief steals an item from a player, but does not attack back, then another player comes along and murders the thief's target. Will the thief get a count?

What I dont understand is why you don't get flagged for healing a thief if all other mechanics concerning being flagged grey apply to him?

When you play with fire, there is a 50/50 chance something will go wrong, and nine times out of ten it does.

There are two greys, "Criminal", and "Attackable", cats are grey, but you can't call the guards on them, and can cast bless on them without flagging. You can actually set these two different greys to be different hues in your client.

When a thief is perma-grey, he's not necessarily criminal.

Derrick, that link above specifically says that the player HIGHLIGHTS blue but the name appears grey on a complete success.

Our wiki says you will still be blue, yet freely attackable by anyone. The above site states it differently. I interpreted it as "grey to victim, blue to everyone else, freely attackable by anyone."

Which is correct? OSI made such a bad move flagging for a complete success. It makes no sense.

Okay I have read two different reports.

One says you cannot steal from any other player despite his status "color" unless you are in the theives guild. Other's have written you can steal from a grey or red as a blue character not in the theives guild, and this is how you can tell a theif by attempting a steal upon him.

Which of the two reports are correct?
