Murderers are not supposed to insta log out of houses

People say their reds can insta log this patch under other changes tells us that if you are a murderer/red you cannot insta log...living or dead.

interesting. i always thought it was only the case if you were flagged as an aggressor and tried to log. this patch note also talks about the "young" player status which i know we do not have here either. is this patch past the cutoff date or what? im curious.

It is not past our cutoff date, however it looks like a bitchload of code to implement. I'm sure its somewhere in the works, like the Companion program.ClowN wrote:interesting. i always thought it was only the case if you were flagged as an aggressor and tried to log. this patch note also talks about the "young" player status which i know we do not have here either. is this patch past the cutoff date or what? im curious.

I don't think it would be hard to code... not much different than having ones agressor time decay before log off.
I full expect this to be in. Actually, I'm surprised if it's not already in.

It will be hilarious if they implement the young player patch alongside the ability to have multiple accounts. Talk about an era accurate end to ghosting -- you can take your "young" account to any dungeon and hide him and use him like a personal bank. If he dies, all the gold stays on him AND he is teleported to a healer! PCs cant attack him! PKs coming? Drop your loot bag on your other accounts young player and let them take their count

Re: Murderers are not supposed to insta log out of houses
You act like that would last forever...
Young status is lost through a few means such as 40 hours of actual game play, 300.0 into your skill cap, etc... Sure, I can see this being done with a few brand new players but it's nothing that would become rampant due to the fact that young status is lost very easily making it only a temporary tactic to begin with on the shard.
Also, I don't think some of those features are era accurate with the young system for the t2a era...
I could be mistaken but I am pretty sure that those are later features added after the UOR publish.

40 hours is a lot of farming time, the skill part means nothing since you would not gain any skills, and all the things I mentioned came from the same patch as reds not being able to insta-log.Faust wrote:You act like that would last forever...

Yes, it is but you are leaving out the fact that it isn't a permanent state of farming. This means only two of the 3 accounts will be able to utilize this tactic since you essentially won't have a very productive farming ratio with an underdeveloped character on the third. This equates to 80 hours in total of possible exploitation of this system. This doesn't make it a permanent state for farming at all. Majority of the players already playing this server will not be able to retain young status meaning this can only be exploited by actual new players. I really don't see this tactic being that big of an issue in my opinion. It's already very easy to escape a PK while farming.

Anyone with a Dynamic IP address would be able to abuse the crap out of this system.Faust wrote:Yes, it is but you are leaving out the fact that it isn't a permanent state of farming. Aren't they already exploiting others if so?MatronDeWinter wrote:Anyone with a Dynamic IP address would be able to abuse the crap out of this system.Faust wrote:Yes, it is but you are leaving out the fact that it isn't a permanent state of farming. I would not be suprised if there are people with several accounts over the 3-account limit.archaicsubrosa77 wrote:Aren't they already exploiting others if so?MatronDeWinter wrote:Anyone with a Dynamic IP address would be able to abuse the crap out of this system.Faust wrote:Yes, it is but you are leaving out the fact that it isn't a permanent state of farming. Re: Murderers are not supposed to insta log out of houses
If there were a system which allowed a young status, first they'd have to change the title page for the server. Secondly, I could finally farm feathers in covetous all week long! No one actually farms 168 hr a week, and if you have a few extra char slots, bobs your uncle. Put all your feathers on the new players and who cares about PKs anymore. Oh PK, where is thy sting. Im all for it. Hey, we could make haven and trammel again too! Yes, Faust. I am being sarcastic... Also, I don't see anyting wrong with reds being able to log inside their own houses. I don't have any reds, but if I did, I would not want to wait Five minutes each time I log out to switch characters. It makes no practical sense. This is silly.
