Action Delays

Post by Hemperor »

Currently too short, can be confirmed through the demo and they were only shortened here to please players. This was another thing in my deleted topic, fortunately this is a pretty definite one, so let's not go inaccurate on the issue.

What are our current delays and what specific changes are you suggesting?

Also, please cite where things were change to please players. I'd like to see where it was discussed.

Bad wording, however when action delays here were lengthened...many complained, one especially I can think of was Tron, it managed to mess up his equip macros bla bla bla and queuing everything. The action delays should be closer to the range of 1 second per action, currently I believe they are about 0.6 here?

Either way, they were shortened...they are even longer on current OSI.

I think it's closer to about 850ms to 900ms right now on UOSA. Or at least that's the minimum value I've been able to enter and not get massively over queued.

Derrick lengthened the action delay a few patches back. The same patch that attempted to deal with speed hacking.

It's certainly longer on both the demo and OSI, I know Kaivan has acknowledged this and Derrick hasn't exactly denied it, he can probably give us the specifics.

I can agree with you on this one Hemperor... I was very disappointed when the action delays were shortened from the old 1 second delay that it used to be in the past. The old delay in the very beginning before it was tweaked when people whined it felt very good and highly accurate on the test center. I really wish this would be reanalyzed and corrected back to the way it once was on the test center when it was being tested.

Truly wish my "Picking and choosing" topic was left us, I find it almost hard to believe why these few changes are ever done.
