with this attitude, it's no surprise noone endorses a tamer's playstyle.

"With the elemination of pretames, im fairly sure that very few if any people have gm'd taming since."

Was wondering if this could be clarified by anybody? I guess I'm taking it that 1st-3rd retames don't present any higher difficulty level which I find hard to believe since I can still gain on a pretty good basis from sheep and cows in Delucia at 47.

Thanks for any input.

Meaning you won't gain at all from something someone else tamed first.

Depends on which part you are talking about...i added a few things that sounded extra cocky but it is kinda an anti tamer shard. Otherwise Era accuracy nerfs would never have seen teh light of day here.

Im talkin about the part where you explicitly stated that tamers have all the gold, and rares, and housing, pretty much everything and all other player-types have nothing.

That was the biggest "LoL" i've had in a while. Tamer's don't make jack shit for gold here, as pets are way to hard to transport to multiple farming areas, seeing as how most spawn locations are on a slow(ish) spawn-rate..

Unless you just camp the Ancient Wyrm or Tera-Balrons, but you'll be seeing a lot of reds in this case..

bullshit dude.

I had a 7x GM Pk-Tamer before I sold the account.. Even in Deciet Lich-Hall (WITH ALL KILL WORKING) you could barely make 100k/hour, and that's when the spawn-rate was INSTANT.

You're so full of shit.

Thanks. I was going by that tame guide/calculator on Stratics. I was just thinking it was odd that I was gaining on stuff that the calculator said I had a 73% chance of taming and assumed they were someone elses pretame.

No ...No i am not. I am 60 days old on this server. My tamer was done in 8 days and I placed a keep on my second week. My 5th week i bought a castle and then sold my keep and now own another keep. I have 200k gold in my bank because i just bought 2 blood tiles, full vials, necromancers helmet that cindrew overcharged me for, black dye tub, a brush, empty jar, easter basket, mongbat key and like 200 friggin empty boxes that are useless in preventing house breakins.

2 months and i have accomplished more with 1 character than i have wish any of my old osi characters that were pvp.

Go kill some elder gazers. at 800 gc per that insta spawn.
PICK UP jewels and sell them as well> grab a id wand and id the possible vanqs, powers and force weapons.

Bloods gave me a lil less than elder gazers because they take a lil longer to kill and they spawn a lil farther away each time you kill one. The gazers just land on to p of you.

Sorry but I have to call you out on this one. There is NO possible way to GM a tamer in 8 days. It took me three weeks to get 95 taming, and that was when you still gained off of pretames. I manually tamed 6+ hours a day, and would AFK tame hundreds of pretames every night while I slept. The pretames were provided by friends, who were kind enough to help me. It took me about another 3 weeks of taming dragons/wyrms/mares to GM taming from 95.

And BTW, unless you're talking about this shard over a year ago, tamers definitely do NOT have "all the gold and rares". With all the taming changes, tamers are about equivalent to bards in their farming ability now. The exceptions are blood eles and other good farming spots that only spawn one high level mob. Any bard can goto Cyclops Valley, ice fiends, etc. and make more than a tamer there these days. The advantage of a tamer over a bard is that tamers can actually defend themselves if attacked and actually gain fame/karma from their kills.

So basically my finishing the tamer has been well documented with my boasting on teh boards as i was doing it. I had no help and i did it in exactly the time i said i did. I make more gold than my bard ever did and to say something as limited as a bard is better than a tamer is silly. I don't want to sit and wait for 2 equally powerful mobs to kill each other when i can just kill them both in less than half the time.

Also keep in mind the "you begin taming" delay has been extended from what it used to be..

No way you did that in 8 days. Not even if you were up for 24/8 (your claim) high on methamphetamines and consistently working on taming ..

And I didn't say bards are better, I said at most highly-populated locations, bards can make more gold in the same amount of time. My point is, tamers are now longer uber-powerful and never should've been.
