I remember dying, then recalling rapidly twice in succession and getting all my stuff back.
I remember folks building piles of boxes like a staircase and using them to break in to the roof of houses.
I remember casting reactive armor on a blade spirit and it then instant killing dragons.
I remember drakes rampaging through Wind, path finding at a time that path finding didn't exist, and then 1-hit killing players at full health.
I remember when you could put on a stat boosting item, then die, and then keep the stats increasing your strength and dex to god like levels.
-------------
Oh wait ... were we supposed to be making these things up?

I remember swimming to all the islands because wind wasn't patched so the boats wouldn't sail

I remember casting reactive armor on BS to make them insta-kill dragons. Oh wait, that did happen in Beta.

I remember....
Thieves could snoop your bank box while you were viewing it, and if the incognito spell gave you the same name as another player, you could access their bank box, too

Oh I incorrectly said magic arrow in my post, it was actually reactive armor and it went on well past Beta.Cutpurse wrote:I remember casting reactive armor on BS to make them insta-kill dragons. Oh wait, that did happen in Beta.

I remember town wars of dozens and dozens of people who knew how to kill without having to use an Exp-Ebolt-HallyWhack combo on Chessy e v e r y night.

Dang sounds like I played on the wrong server.Kraarug wrote:I remember town wars of dozens and dozens of people who knew how to kill without having to use an Exp-Ebolt-HallyWhack combo on Chessy e v e r y night.
I remember the exact opposite on Atlantic

Town fighting was very popular on LS too. Of course there were plenty of "townies" who primarily fought in town and rarely dared to step outside, and then there was a subset of those who would leave town but only with a poison katana, and 5 bandages.poogoblin wrote:Dang sounds like I played on the wrong server.

I remember using a program that didn't let me last target ebolt people off-screen, nor did it double my run speed.
I also remember Corwin of Amber from LS/SP and he was one of the worst pvp'rs ever. I remember corwin trying to pk Skara brae rangers with his friends Susie redrum, account blocked, and cookiemonster.

Heh, I see you're trying to drag the thread back to the original concept.Mor'Sereg wrote:I remember using a program that didn't let me last target ebolt people off-screen, nor did it double my run speed.

Yes, I played Atlantic, LS, Siege, and the Angel Island shards and was a member of the guilds WE, SBR, and BV.
I just think the truth is funnier then the fiction, but I guess this approach lets everyone play.

I remember...
That through an exploit, you could eventually kill a guard and stay out of harm's way. You would hen loot a one-shot hally of teleportation with infinite charges.
