Test and Live have mirrored mechanics currently. Sometimes they will be different, but currently they are exactly the same.

So that means you have to keep hiding if you want to continue using stealth then or can you drop it and use invisible thereafter?

i think that you could cast invis and then stealth back in the day

You can but the Invisibility timer is only 120 seconds if im not mistaken.

You can I am talking about after you drop hide but still keeping stealth
