Parry question

Think I posted this in the right place, anyways.

Is there a parry guide or anyone know the generals? I noticed I gain parry from spells, and was wondering the effect that parry has on spells. Thanks guys.

No idea why you gain parry from spells.

However, parry only helps against combat damage not spell damage.

where you attacking a monster while he was casting spells? if so he could of hit you with Wrestling skill witch would increase your parry.

I may be wrong... I was working resist (Via magery nukes) and I gained a couple points.

I don't think there is any way to gain parry from macroing magery. Back in the day, you could work parry with blade spirits but I have not tried it on this server. Easy enough to macro sparring with another character on another account to gain parry, and a whole lot of other skills.

You shouldn't be able to gain base skill in parry unless carrying a shield, which I assume you weren't if you were casting. I'll look into it. I would have guessed that a stat gain had increased it, but parry doesn't seem tied to stats.
