Healing and Anatomy, how much is really necessary

Post by johttenn »

On the stratics t2a site under web archive it says:

A minimum level of 60 for both Anatomy and Healing will give a chance of 80% to cure someone who is poisoned.

Does that hold true for Second Age?

I would sure like to lock Healing and Anatomy at 60 to use the skill points elsewhere.

Are there any other benefits to going beyond these levels? I don't really need resurrection on this character.

This is true information. The data you are missing is the percentage of that chance to cure poison. I beleive it is as low as 10%. Also, your chance to simply complete the "heal" is very low at that level. You will find the message, your fingers slip and barely helps more often then you will heal or cure. I would say a skill level to stop at and get a decent percentage of anything is 90.

I have 94 healing and 100 anatomy and I still sometimes fail while curing lvl 4 poison and rarely fail a regular heal. Keep in mind also that the higher your healing, the *more* you heal. This is really important when "your fingers slip." Anatomy is also a damage bonus for melee.

Alright, thanks for the info...

I'll have to figure out how else to shave off some points :)
