i can't agree with this more. Unfortunately, just go to IRC to watch the mongoloids scream ERA ACCURACY OR DEATH!111 and you will see that trying to change their minds is futile.Phallax wrote:Enough with "perfect" era accuracy.
Derrick left runebooks in the game that arent era accurate, leave stuff like this alone as well.
Guess ill get rid of the carto/lockpick on my bard and just do the boring mob grind for cash again.

I like doing tmaps, but I don't want to waste time doing level 1 through 4 maps because someone mistakenly assumed it was a level 5 because it dropped off of X mob.Duke Jones wrote:Actually, I think it works the opposite. It turns the Treasure hunter template into something more valuable, knowing that only THAT template can hunt treasure.Nayee wrote:this portion of the patch is completely ridiculous. goodbye treasure hunting!
Treasure hunting should be for players who legitimately like to hunt treasure, not just seen as "Gold farming template C."

All tmaps pulled up as the result of fishing are Lvl 1.Homie wrote:one thing for sure

See what we're doing here? We're building a database of Tmap loot/spawns
And if a legitimate treasure hunter is worth his salt, he'll either already know this, or make it a point to know it. Knowing what mobs spawn what levels is just one of the "tools of the trade" and will ultimately prove the difference between a "treasure hunter" and a "gold farmer."

T Maps obtained from a Deep Sea Serpent are lvl 2 i believe ..
but yes you can build a data base ... based on the creature the map came from
gotta correct myself ... maps that are fished up out of the water are lvl 1
maps obtained from any Sea Serpant are lvl 2 (deep or normal)

Re: Selling T-Maps after the Next Patch is Implemented
That's the good thing about these forums.
It's painfully obvious that if someone posts bullcrap, there's plenty of people that will call them on it.
I think once this patch is implemented (or in preparation of it), One trusted and established member of the community should post a list of t-map lvl/spawns. Call it the "Treasure Hunter's Helper" That member's post will be edited by them based on additional replies by players.
You know, kinda how Derrick, updates this game based on research by him and the players.

I'll tell you one thing bound to happen: Magic weap prices are going way up. Sluggish TMap market means less maps are dug up which means less weaps are on the shard. Simple economics.
