I think that would get Derrick shut down.
This free shard is legal only because it's free right? Once money starts to circulate, it starts getting into some choppy territory.

regardless of being legal or not, the second pixels have RL value the shard can see a whole new set of problems. (account hackings, more afk resource gathering, more attention to exploits, etc)Duke Jones wrote:I think that would get Derrick shut down.

Im glad that no item will ever be handed out from the staff for donations or anything else to do with rl money and also glad that proof of selling of pixels for rl money = ban.

It was Virtual Real estate. and it was BIG back in the day.
Nerds with disposable income + A placed castle in a super-prime location on a full server pre-trammel = $$$ 4 U

It was better than 50% of what I was making while I was in the Navy!Wise wrote:I call shinanagins on you!! in game gold maybe!!

I made most of my money from UO by:
- Macroing and selling accounts. Chessy had a lot of people with good incomes and little time to build a character. ($325 min per 3x acount)
Selling rares (and stealing them back most of the time.) Please paid a decent amount of stuff like books, damaged books, cards, horse shoes, bloody bowls, bloody bandages and even U$S for vanqs and powers.
IDOC loot (see above)
House placement. ($400 for a small was a low ball price.)

I sold a small tower for $350 during UO:R, but it was loaded with a few nice rares.

That was after UO:R and the landmass had 'doubled'. During T2A real estate was some pretty pricey stuff.hiicha wrote:I sold a small tower for $350 during UO:R, but it was loaded with a few nice rares.

Subject: Selling in game wares/accounts for money.
