Chess boards are currently rotated 90 degrees. The rule is white on right, queen on color, the lower right hand corner (A,8) should be white not black.
I wonder how many people have tried to play chess on this shard like this?

Yeah, it looks like the peices need to be set up on left and right sides to be correct.
Is this how it is on OSI too?

Archaic and I noticed this the other night also. He was moving the King around as if it were the Queen for awhile before I spotted it.

Weren't there also gold tinted chessboards? I had one on OSI, but can't remember if it was UO:R or T2A

It was like this on Angel Island. It's quite annoying. Sadly most players don't even notice this.
