Buying "Secure" Castle

Still looking for something secure. Willing to pay top price. We just need to do a quick verification such as one would do a beat test on something GF but this will take a week. After we come to some agreement, ill post on forums paying a reward to anyone that posts a screenshot in that specific castles CY. If nothing is posted within a week, ill take it.

To be honest do ppl really recall into random cy's during the day? A castle that is only semi secure is worth owning because 95% of the time you recall in there no one would be in it unless you was pvping and they are trying to chase you.

Just added security, i dont htink ppl want secure castle for the fact they dont wanna be pk'd by the LOS issue, but more so they can feel more safe, idk, i will occasionally recall into the few private CY runes i have and the doors are always locked up tight. But i guess just incase someone is afraid they will leave their doors unlocked with no added security inside a secure castle would kind of add a bonus security if that were to ever happen. Most castle owners i assume recall into their CY and leave the front blocked off and never use front doors.

Interesting, how would one prove it? Hold a competition by offering a reward to anyone that can get into your courtyard?

That's funny. I'm 99% certain that my keep is secure and, just for the hell of it, I've thought about posting a contest to see if anyone can post a screenshot inside it. I dunno, small deed for anyone who can do it or something like that. They'd of course have to post a screen shot and then prove it in real time by doing it again while I'm there. Not that it really matters with a keep except for the LoS issue, but I'd be curious to find out if anyone had a rune.

Lol, u talking about ur "courtyards" which are hardly courtyards, just wasted space imo. Wish i had access to those little tunnels under my Keeps upper floors, so far all they have been good for is previous owner getting my attention so he could give me copies of the runes for my own use and an elf last month happened to spawn in the east void, which provided cool dragon sound effects for a little bit. But anyways getting off topic, sorry scoobs, can someone please sell this old dog a "secure" castle so i dont keep getting tempted to outstay my welcome on this thread.

best way to determine if a courtyard is secure is to leave 50k sittin on your steps unsecured....

announce that its there waiting for whoever...but also say if you post a screenshot you get an additional 50k....

Great idea, prob dont have to do screen shot, unless you just want to know who got it, but the fact its gone is evidence enough i would say. I think everyone should this, say.... 6pm central time tomorrow, get it, got it, good, gonna be so rich tomorrow afternoon, except for 3 castles i cant get too...

I had an old castle that was placed by the guy who had towers and other such shit in the place prior. Castle was a couple years old at least and I had never seen an unknown character in that CY. I could name the people who have runes there on one hand.

Turns out, army logged out, seemingly on the steps of one of the original towers. When he logged in two years later, he got super lucky. It was one of the few times I was apathetic enough to leave the door unlocked. Fortunately for me, all the real valuable rares and shiz were in bank boxes. He did make out with a grip of resources, magic weapons, semi rares, etc etc.

More power to him, but yes, no CY is truly secure. Someone could have logged out there literally 5 years ago. You never know until you get looted or see them in the CY.


No, I'm not 'mad' and no I didn't quit over it. In fact, I was quite tired of refreshing it all the time and was only doing so because they guy who gave it to me didn't want it falling or losing it's secure status. Once security was compromised, it was much easier to part with and I'm free of the trappings of walls (that you can cast/throw potions through).


PS: I think the Dagger Isle castle that fell recently was actually Shasta's but I can't be sure.
