Here would be an example of a certification number -

(0x3456425) Verified by Azheman

When you buy that pair of sandals, you know its GF and if its not, its because Azheman lied or fucked up the test.

Only certification numbers from trustworthy people I guess.

**It could end up being a PITA but its a cool idea :P

This is an interesting idea.

I would be interested in contributing. I love breaking "GF" items that people have never tested before.

I'm glad you figured out that your original "I can still scam people with this system" avenue didn't make sense. People already trust brokers with large sums of money on a day-to-day basis, this is no different than having brokers for the deal, it just offsets the timing and gives more flexibility to the "brokers" of the system.

I think if brokers can work, this can too -- if you disagree that's fine. As I mentioned before, we would need trustworthy traders (which immediately disqualifies you) to contribute to the maintenance of the system, which is who I am soliciting now.
I don't think someone can trust an organization run by a person who openly commits libel. I regularly broker large deals, thank you very much. My point isn't that "I can still scam people", it's that "anyone can still scam people".

I'm glad you are interested in contributing! I was hoping you or another well known broker might actually "own" the list (the post containing all the serials). Is that something you might also be interested in?

:)

Between the two of us only one of us has scammed anyone out of anything, but the point is moot because I'm not looking to run the whole show, I'm just here to get the ball rolling.

Having a Shelby Registry never stopped people from trying to pass off a Shelby Clone as the real deal. It is simply a collector's society aide to knowing what is known to still exist and having a basis for judging value. If something is not registered, it's going to cost more to sell in terms of time/effort.

I think it's a noble idea and don't let the haters bring you down. You could even start a pool to compensate some folks for their time to beat test/validate and start an archive of RPVs showing item IDs during beattests with packs snooped, etc.

Why stop at GFed though? Why not a rare/blessed clothing registry where people could submit their item IDs for non GFed items, but perhaps rare hues, etc.
Love the idea.

All questioning aside.. I'd participate in this, especially if it expanded to registering blessed/dyed items.

Anyone who completely misses this concept, such as a Troll sized fat fuck 4 chinned BItch named Vega, should just stop and let this be inplemented.

I like this idea. Your biggest hurdle and responsibility will be your credibility as an organization. First building it, then maintaining it. The first time you accidentally certify a "gf" item and it ends up breaking, you're done for. What I'm suggesting is that, if you do this, do it right from the beginning. I really hope this takes off. I think it's a great idea.

I like the idea of this. all its gunna take is 2-3 very trusted people, and they have to be at every test.

Couldn't someone register something they have 2 of and only one be grandfathered, use the 2nd one for a scam?

Neat idea, but cA fun waiting to happen.

No because the Item numbers would be different.

Each item in the game has a unique code. To test the code, record a macro and double click the sandals. End the macro and in the line of text will be a 0x023023 number.
