Wise, I never pictured Matron as a table. I thought she'd be some kind of lounge chair, or maybe a futon. Versatile, yet comfy.

I always pictured myself as more of an ottoman. Mobile, relaxing and comfy to put your feet up on, but willing to trip you down a flight of stairs when the lights go out.
