Potion Keg of Black Liquid
I just bought a full potion keg of black liquid. I've never seen it before and wasn't sure if it was rare, so I said "what the hell", and spent what amounted to pocket change on it. I'm sure it will end up being some common, crappy, lesser potion, but was just wondering if anyone knew what this was?

I am surprised someone even made this keg...
You don't see nightsight potions because they are pretty much worthless. Razor can filter your light into always being active with no need to ever use this potion or the nightsight spell making it a complete waste.

Re: Potion Keg of Black Liquid
Now this is a very interesting thing that happened, here. Just step back and take a look.
Here we have a very common in-game item. Because Razor has a feature that replicates this item/spell it has been pushed into redundancy and worthlessness. So much so, one player actually wonders weather or not that this item is rare.
Sure, this might be a minor issue in the grand scheme of the game, but I'm sure it's just one of many examples that proves that using third-party programs for more than just connecting to the shard, has profound impacts, and worth taking note of.

Hopefully I'm not the only one who enjoys the day and night schemes of Ultima Online. Running around town at night, with nothing more than the ambient light. Love it.

<Derrick> I guarantee world peace will not be seeded in a UO FreeShard IRC channel
Re: Potion Keg of Black Liquid
Agreed this was something that really made UO feel more immersing. It'd be great to see Derrick figure out a way to disable this razor "feature" for our serverhiicha wrote:Hopefully I'm not the only one who enjoys the day and night schemes of Ultima Online. Sometimes, I used to put a blanket over my crappy CRT monitor to see in dungeons. Those were the days...
Re: Potion Keg of Black Liquid
Yeah, I actually thought I had replied to my original post...I googled it and found it like 5 minutes after I posted the original question.
No wonder I haven't seen kegs of it on this shard (and now I've started noticing it for the first time on the mage shop alchies).
I guess I'll have to figure out a way to decorate a tower with a bunch of black potion bottles.

When I was very knew I used to buy a bunch of regs and bottles. I would stand outside the entrances of dungeons and personally grind nightsight pots. I'd charge 25 gold a pop
A majority of my customers were those who forgot to get some nightsight stuff, and didn't want to waste time running back to their house or bank (convenience charge). Also, the people that admired my ingenuity to hang outside the dungeons an be their personal nightsight vendor.

Re: Potion Keg of Black Liquid
I believe that Divinity had the light filter disabled somehow, making the spell and potions useful again, so I know it's possible. This I think would be a very good fix.poogoblin wrote:Agreed this was something that really made UO feel more immersing.
