I was thinking on how mana vamp could work, though its all toss of a die. What if you precast mana vamp, attacked, casted it and if successful spamming harm with more mana could beat spamming heal. I did this the other day, I had a magic hat on and had bless in effect bringing my intel to 115. I stayed at 115 mana after casting. That said I know I at least absorbed 40 points.

I think it will only absorb as much mana up to your max, and it may be at lower available mana higher amounts of mana is abosrbed.(another reason I casted bless first. It brought max mana up while lowering available. It compensated for loss of dex and str as well and brought me below maximium level concerning mana)

You see stratics said the damage could be as little as 30 points and max up to 75. I took casting cost and passive meditation into consideration and came to the conclusion the damage had to be in the range of available and maximim mana. In other words how much you can absorb without going over.

There is risk involved of course.

I didn't know the previous post was focused on tourneys in which people come totally prepared. I thought it was PVP in general and I notice alot of people in the field (not all) don't carry trapped pouches or use potions as heavily then what they seem to do in events. I fight only in the field but now I am inspired to see how an unmounted one on one tourney plays out.

By the way, I have been given the wrong info several times as well. I found out you can't trap dungeon or locked down chests. But you can mimic that without taking a count if you trap the chest in your house and set it where another chest despawned.
