Is there a way to turn of the sound of someone grinding something in a mortar? My neighbor is really annoying me.

good question .. i do not think so .. turning off backpack sounds in razor filter may help a little ...maybe you won't hear him filling his bottles .. other then that turn sound down .. move .. i'll look into .. but pretty sure not way to avoid this ..

(I my self have an alchy and I'm on him alot .. laptop sound is almost always down .. seeing I too find the noise a killer .. {though I do macro pretty safely and don't need warning noises} so I can see your problem)

You can trash the music easy just hit ALT O (O not zero)
on the gump that pops up hit the top left tab (opens to this one all the time)
Check the top box that says "Sound on/off" that will kill all the sounds in game when you are being bothered by your neibors grindoing.
And the box below the one for all sound is for turning off the music. un check the box
Hit apply then Ok and no more problems.

Look around the gump that pops up you can do alot in there.
Settin up macros, change your speach color and tons more.
