Bit of a concern

Post by Paroxysmus »

Has anyone noticed the murder count decay acting up? About a week ago I went red and in 4 hours time, (Went red at 2:00pm Eastern, and at 6:00pm Eastern by the Brit Graveyard I suddenly noticed I was Blue again, I just figured I misunderstood the system and was happy. About a day later, I had to get revenge on someone and went red again, and after that got one more count. Problem is ive kept my character logged on 24/7 minus recent unexpected shard downs, and Ive been red for about 3- 4 days. Most likely im just misunderstanding how the system works, but it just seems wierd to me. Any help?

Translation: Murder counts have 40 hours shelf life. I killed someone while I had 4 kills, with the final one only having 4 hours left to decay. Killing someone gave me 5 long term counts, with one having 4 hours left to decay. After 4 hours, it decayed and I was down to 4 long term counts and blue again.

24 hours later, that 5th count went down from 40 hours left to 16 hours left. I killed someone again, bringing me back up to 5 counts with 16 hours remaining until one decayed and I go blue again.

Mikel, maybe I misunderstand you, but why would his 5th murder count, even if 40 hours long, take 3-4 days (72-96 hours) or more to decay?

i think he means a day later he took one count which turned him red, and then took another count. thats 80 - 24 hours since the previous count he took. thats 56 hours, which could equate to 3-4 days playing if he didnt have his character on for the full 24 hour day.

im pretty sure mikel is correct in explaining how the decay/gain works. i dont think gaining a murder count resets the timer on the previous murder counts decay.

Aye, the two counts are going to be 80 hours, which is about 3-4 days, prolly closer to 4 accounting for a little but of lost time each day around restart.

I imagine you must be blue by now?
