As in the story, this guy is actually only interested in one specific large brick or house plot on the entire shard, but in order to disguise his real purpose he pretends to be willing to consider any and all large bricks

Until the one house spot he wants is mentioned, he will continue to say no.

Great theory, no?

Now if only I could come up with a motive for this convoluted approach, it would all make sense

Perhaps there is one large brick blocking him from building a castle, and he knows that if he actually comes out and says this is the brick he wants, someone will gouge him for a half mill?...I guess not, since he says he doesn't want houses close by, not to mention that he says he is paying well already

Who knows, but this is one of the most bizarre sagas in Trading Post history, regardless of the outcome lol..if it gets much weirder, it may be relegated to sticky status in the spirit of "Chainmail Tunic of Defense"
