Blacksmithing Question

How do I work with other types of metal besides regular iron? I’m up to 90 Mining, but only 63 smithing. I tried to make some dull copper armor, and it said I didn’t know how to use this material. I thought it depended on my mining level. Any help is appreciated.

you need higher Smithing Skill

Mining skill determines what metal you can dig up and smelt. Smithing skill determines what metal you can weapons/armor with.
