To give a different perspective, the guy sold me an armor item for 2k...he forgot it the first time he came to the bank, so when I gave him the gold in advance I wasn't sure what was going to happen....but he was back in less than a minute with the armor piece, and handed it over with all speed

Hopefully he's a good guy.....maybe if anything he just seemed a little scatterbrained to me.

I'm in Conan's guild and I go out pk'ing with him. Yes, he'll kill horses, and sure he'll dry loot a house given the opportunity, but I know for a fact that he's never ever considered scamming someone. In his defense (and don't be offended Conan) he can be a little bubble-brained sometimes. If you are partnering up with his red char, don't ever throw up a gate to a city because even if you yell "CONAN DON'T TAKE THIS GATE", he might go through. He's a good guy, very loyal and certainly doesn't need your 7K Mikel123.

Be very careful about false accusations. You're starting to get a rep going. Maybe take a break from the boards for a few days to calm down.

I'm not falsely accusing anything. I stated the facts of what happened. Neither of us dispute them.

My contention is that trying, 3 times, to give me a mystery backpack without opening it, despite my repeated request for just putting the items in a window, plus then asking for me to flat-out give him 7k (?!?!) and then trade 4.5k for his swords, is probably the sign of a scam attempt. So I reported it as such.

Putting something in a bag is possibly the oldest trade window scam in the books. And an explanation of a 6 to 7 second lag is just absurd. No one else was lagging, and he'd have to have a 1995-level internet connection for that. He was moving just fine. And even if it DID take 6 or 7 seconds for his double-click to open the backpack, I'd still have seen it open after 6 or 7 seconds! Which I did not.

Look... if this is an isolated incident, fine. Maybe he is mad at me for making fun of him in Trash Talk or something, and he tried to get back at me. If this never happens to anyone ever again, then yeah - maybe it was a misunderstanding (or maybe he got scared straight!). But people seem to be insinuating that I'm somehow in the wrong for simply stating some sketchy things that happened. Which is ridiculous.

I don't even know conan or his buisness reputation but just from the facts i seriously doubt mike123 had honest intentions when he bid on those items

like conan said, you werent even in danger of being scammed he asked you to pay him only 7k up front for the 2 items then give him the rest after he banked it. logic would tell you that not only does this not put you in any danger of being scammed, it actually endangers conan

did you walk away with the agreed items? did you pay 1 gold more than you offered?

then why did you feel so compelled to come on here and smear this mans business reputation? and even go as far as filing an official scam report when no scam took place?
