Need help for Remove trap skill

May some one post a little guide to help me on increasing remove trap skill?

i think noone train this skill... what do you want it for?

I m doing a pure rogue thief:

100 stealing
100 snooping
100 hiding
100 stealth
100 lockpiking
100 remove trap
50 detect hidden
50 magery (for reacll and mark)

It's a dungeon chest finder and a thief..

is a adquote method for disarming any trap...

We verified this bug last night. Disarm trap is impossible to gain from 0.0, you can't start with it, and no one trains it.

We plan to fix this, but in the meantime, it you wish to train this skill a staff member will be happy to show you the ropes and get you up to 1.0 skill for a very low fee.

Found the problem.

You have to have 50 REAL in lockpicking and detect hidden to get the Thief GM to train you.
I had 53.2 adjusted and 49 real and thought I was ok,but he wouldnt train me.Once I worked lockpicking to 50 real the Thief GM gave me the option of training.

I recently bought Disarm traps up to 33... any one have any idea what I should be disarming? All the town chests are too easy.

This seems to be hard skill to raise.

could you somehow create a macro where a tinker traps a box, and then your dis-arm it??

You most likely could but every time you trap it it will take an exp or poison potion,or bolts,I suppose that would be the best to make,dart traps.
Now if I just had a tinker with enough skill......

at 50 (or even 40... I tired both) The traps are beyond my skill to untrap.

I made a guy with 33 tinkering and his ability to make even dart traps is horrable. May be 1 in 20 attempts

after burning through about 3k bolts and Ingots I have gaind .6

may be once my remove trap is higher I can use a higher skill tinker that doesent fail so much making the lowest trap.

all so the fact that traps are not tradeable is a pain.

Just trap them in a secure and remove trap still in secure?
Not sure if it has to be in your pouch to trap or not.
Or snoop with your RTer til you open his pack.

Trust me you got almost as much gain there as I did in a couple days down in the dungeons.

yeah the chests in the inns must be set vary low cause with 33 I never have failed or gained skill yet.

I read on stratics that wearing heavy gloves makes it harder to remove traps but even with plate gloves the inn chests are too easy to gain skill or even fail at.

there are some boxes in the trinsnic bank that spawn but I cant seem to untrap them.... they must be too high.





Hmm... this skill is obviously not macroable and it looks like it may be the hardest skill in the game to level up (At least in the 30s)
