Unlimited hunger in 1v1 tournaments

For ideas on how to make Second Age a better shard. Can it get any better? Maybe.

Unlimited hunger in 1v1 tournaments

Hi, I noticed that people have unlimited hunger in the pvp tournaments. Why is that? My macer was matched with another macer and basically I won because I had more fishsteaks. Wouldn't having limited hunger be better? Because stamina drain is part of real battle right? Would it be more fair if our hunger resets to zero for every match to keep things fair?

Yeah but then the tanks can't have a massive advantage over every other class. And that just isn't tolerable by like 7 very loud people.

It used to be limited hunger.
Every single tourny for about 2 months was won by the mace dexxer that signed up (usually onslaught).
If it came down to 2 mace dexxers the match would be about 45 minutes long eventually one side logging out/giving up/having to leave. That was back in free use though so your 1 fish steak lasted the entire match. It was brutal.

There have been a Lot of changes since we implemented this; I think it would be reasonable to remove this mechanic from tournaments.

The majority of standard duels now days is red pots only.

oh really? but with limited hunger, shouldn't they be unable to continue replenishing their stamina so they had to stay and fight? surely their hits do more damage then their heals?

when two dexxers have 0 stamina they swing incredibly slowly. There are also points where they are stranded with 0 stamina 1 tile away from each other until they get enough stam to move again lol

Being forced to walk when hitting 1 stamina should be fixed if hunger limitations are removed.

lmao I forgot about swing speed. You do have a point.

But now they have time limits now right? After a certain time, all healing is prevented, so I think the problem of no one dying because of heal rate faster then damage is fixed, perhaps?

if this change happens you need to add refresh pots to all tournaments

Oh comon, i love it that food is needed for something. How is my fisherman vendor going to make the living if there is no use for fish.

Why? This removes the advantage of being a mace fighter.

You wouldnt remove halberds from tournaments because they hit the most damage and weigh 11 stones would you?

What is the point in fighting a macer that has you stamina locked in 5 seconds without any way to defend against it?
