Notice that on Great Lakes, one of the oldest shards in all of UO they dont even have ten guilds at war.
The list stops at five. Of these five guilds three of them only have one guild they are at war with.
Just thought id share.

And they call this "progress".Horvik wrote:There is no point in pvp on osi, all it has is like 20 banksiters per shard. All dungeons are pointless when every player has 100 millions of gold. And pvp is stupid cause you can insta kill people with certain gears while not wasting mana, regs or hitpoints, on the other hand you get to loot nothing when you kill someone cause everything they have is blessed and they wear no regs cause they have suits that work as 100% no regs required.
If your lucky one or two items wont be blessed, but dont think you will get it. Cause it will be insured for 300gp and you will get half the insurence. So tops 150-300gp per player kill. Makes it feel like a real huge amount compared to your 100 millions in bank.
I remember when I did play AOS in 03 it was alot of fun to play test. I had a killer mage fencer template i loved to use.Horvik wrote:I wish i was overexaggerating. But honesty, i am not. Even all the mounts are blessed etherals that go straight to your backpack if you die. So there is no mounts selling at all.
Honestly only fun thing left on osi is playing on the test server when its up before some publish. Cause than hundreds of poeple gather at bucs den in felucia and have a huge war europeans and americans VS Japanese and it lasts for hours and hours, once i fought there as an arches shooting incoming people of horses for 16 hours in a raw.
I saw Samurai Empire in a store... not sure what expansion we're up to now?Pac wrote:Does OSI UO get any new players still? I don't recall the last time I even saw the game for sale anywhere.
Ive come to find what people want may not always be in their best interests.GuardianKnight wrote:Ever feel nostalgic about something for years and then having someone come and kick your ass straight into reality? I guess a part of me was hoping they would have learned from their mistakes and did a turn around.
Dont think they are releasing the expansions as retail. Mondans legacy was just for download, not sure about stygian abbys but i doubt they released it. Allso its no longer run by OSI. Osi was taken over by Mythic, its the same people that run Warhammer Online and Dark age of Camelot. Original osi team got dissolved completly from what i could understand from forums and souch. So basicly OSI uo no longer exists.Pac wrote:Does OSI UO get any new players still? I don't recall the last time I even saw the game for sale anywhere.
Atlantic is UO in the US, with the small exception of a few on the west coast playing Pacific. OSI decided to give a reason to play factions again because it gives artifcat loot that you can get only through that system. Most of the pvp is huge guild and faction wars done around spawn areas or over faction sigils now. There is actually a good amount of pvp in the game for how old it is, even though they have updated it over the years and most people don't like it. It is an extremely fast paced playstyle now and it is majorly connection based. It can still be fun if you can get passed the fact that the game isn't like it use to be.RoadKill wrote:From what I've learned over the years (I've gone back for many free trials to poke around, like many of us have) - most US players migrated to Atlantic as population was declining. Other shards are left as "ghost towns" but make excellent farming locations (and when you have a nice huge stash of loot, you transfer to Atlantic to sell for mass cash). I also noticed most pvp was not done in a "guild wars fashion" - there was plenty of pvp but it was almost all red vs blue
