Disappearing Sheep

So I have a house, that is set to private. I typically tame 3-4 sheep to keep in there to harvest wool. However I notice sometimes that some of the sheep keep disappearing.

Is there a reason why?

also .. you need to interact with the sheep within every 24 (?) hours or they disappear ..im not sure if simply sheering them counts as interaction.. it might

You better take this seriously if you want to keep sheep in your house... Otherwise just forget about it.

I've never tried keeping sheep at my place due to them. I hear once they catch you they check up on you.

A ghost will be assigned to your domicile and you will constantly be under surveillance by one of several members until you acquire a permit or refrain from unlicensed sheep husbandry.

I hear those cA guys just go around killing sheep then recall to their leet mining boats/locations and talk about how funny it was when the sheep died.
