3 Questions Please....

Hello all. I haven't played a good session of UO in a long time and am thinking about getting back into on a casual/semi-serious basis. I just have a few questions before I jump back into it.

1. How bad is the theiving on this shard? Really horrible to the point where you cannot have anything on you in town?

2. Is there a DEDICATED public rune book for T-Hunting spots AND are there any players here who specialize in selling t-maps? ( my favorite type of character to play is a T-hunter, obviously )

3. Any guilds out there to help out new players to this shard?

I am a veteran of UO way back when it was good, so I know what I am doing, but could always use some refreshing and am not proud enough to know I will need help when starting from scratch again. Thanks for filling me in on these questions and I hope to see you all in Sosaria soon! Efhkaristo!

Pretty bad but only around Britain Bank; everywhere else seems thief free. My advice would be just to not use Britain Bank, because they are relentless.

2. Is there a DEDICATED public rune book for T-Hunting spots AND are there any players here who specialize in selling t-maps? ( my favorite type of character to play is a T-hunter, obviously )

Roadkill operates a public rune library on Justice Island, in the middle of the lake. Most people will mark a rune there for you. As far as I know he has runebooks for all the treasure hunter locations.

3. Any guilds out there to help out new players to this shard?

Perhaps not help out in the sense you may be thinking... But The Militia is always happy to take new people under it's wing!

Thank you very much, this helps a lot in making the choice to game here. I kinda figured about the thiefs around Brit, so suprizes there.

And I didn't mean a "hand out" with joining a new players guilde I just mean a place where I can hang out with other new players and maybe go on some low level dungeon crawls till we get better, and train against eachother, ect.... ( I ran a guild like this called Project Sanctuary on another shard.)

I'm new to this server too and looking for a guild and people to hang out with. If you ever want to meet up and go hunting, let me know. I found a couple of pretty good spots.
