Fishing Training

Post by Ptazaract »

I've been macroing a fisherman in town to get as high as I could before venturing out onto the high seas. I'm stuck now at 93.2 skill. Let me start by saying that's way higher than I ever expected to get in town off a dock. However, it seems a really odd number to stop at. One would think that the cutoff for training fishing in shallow water would be 75 or 80 or something. Once past 90 I kinda figured I'd be able to GM.

You'll need to get on a boat and fish in deep water (16 tiles out) to progress any further.

It is an odd cutoff but it is the cut off. Another thing many people don't know about fishing is you can train it from zero skill in deep water. My second fisher never left the boat

Just be careful, post 80 skill you have a small chance of pulling up a Sea Serpent.

Also remember you may not AFK fish in deep water, while it permitted from shore.

Note: AFK Fishing from shore is no longer allowed

Hence why I was training up as far as I could go before hopping on a boat. Oh, and the 10k I don't really have to buy one.
