Selling silver longsword +25 tactics (Never Mind)
"A silver massive supremely accurate longsword of wounding with 44 charges," it adds +25 tactics when equipped. Never used, got it from a shipwreck chest.
Ah, f**k it.

How do you find out what's worth anything? Is there a guide anywhere? I don't have any idea what any of my silver/vanq stuff is worth.
What WOULD HAVE made it worth 10K, is what I'm saying. I see some of this bullcrap sell for house deeds.

Hally/Katana/Kryss/a few others sell for a ton if they are +25 vanq. Basically the best anything can be.

Maybe could have gotten 10k if it was force or power.

I sold a silver, +25, warhammer of vanq for 25k. If it had been a halberd it would've sold for more.

So force and power are good, as well as fencing/macing?

Depends if I get a force broadsword I just toss it, theres thousands out there. If I get a power one I keep it probably to do nothing with it but smelt it later on. Warforks, kryss, spear, short spear, katana, bard, hally, qstaff and pick are the ones that I keep to use or sell if they are force, power or vanq.Mitten_Hands wrote:So force and power are good, as well as fencing/macing?

Swords is good too but they are more plentiful than anything else. Add to the fact that the longsword isn't too great of a sword. Katanas, halberds, and broads are probably more desireable.
Yes a +25 Force or Power is pretty good. Of course vanq is best.

just keep an eye on threads even if you're not particularly interested in buying. you get an idea of what items are worth.Mitten_Hands wrote:How do you find out what's worth anything? Is there a guide anywhere? I don't have any idea what any of my silver/vanq stuff is worth.

+tact or vanq only really yield super prices when it's vanq AND has a +15 to +25 tact modifier. silver weapons are primarily for hunting liches, and there is not very much incentive to use a +25 vanq silver when you can use a +20 power or so that helps you kill liches practically as fast.
the huge damage bonuses only really matter when pvp is the consideration (you can bet your ass it would be a pvper buying a silver +25 vanq hally, and they wouldn't be using it to kill monsters, they'll be using it to kill you).
if you find a vanq hally with a high tact mod, then you've hit the jackpot. a +5 or +10 vanq hally will go for a pittance really (10-20k depending)... +25 vanq 100k+. buy a +25 force might only go for 5k at best, a +25 with no other qualities is worse than a gm crafted weapon i think (there's no market for it, anyway)
so yeah.. +25 silver with no other mods is really quite crappy. i have a bunch of lowball silvers like that in my house that i plan to give away to noobs when i can be bothered

Good to know. I keep all silvers and vanqs I find, but it looks like I've probably sold off some really good weapons to town vendors in the past.
I'll pick through them better in the future and see if I can find any good stuff.

Sounds good to me. I placed it on my vendor, just East of East brit bank along the coastline. I can post a map if you can't find it; vendor's name is Ralph.time2a wrote:4k f or wep
