Forum issue: I cannot compose private messages

Title pretty much says it all.

I am logged in. Go to User Control Panel > Private Messages > Compose and I don't get any boxes for input. What could be going on here?

I bid on a house and won the auction but was embarrassingly unable to reply to the seller's PMs.

Is this a new account? You need to have 5 posts (that are accepted) before you can send private messages.
