Hail!

Post by shire99 »

Hail Brittanians!!

I was abroad and without internet for 8 months and couldn't play this game, but now I'm back and it's my first day!! I will first make a bard, I'm almost certain about going with music provo mage med eval, but I'm not sure for the rest. Maybe wrestling to help with recalling from pk's and hiding to hide from them? I'm thinking about going without resist since I'll die to pk's anyway if I try to stand and fight, and I'll have good magery and med to help from monsters.

Then, when I make enough gold, I'll start to learn how to pvp as a mage. I'll probably start as a swordsmage just to learn (sorry, I know there are a lot). Maybe a macer mage. Macers have always had a special place in my heart. I don't know. That was my first and main on atl in 1999.

But, what's the best way to make some cash to build up magery and some other skills on my bard?

Thanks for reading!!! See yall around!!

You only need about 40k to get a mage rolling, not including resist, you can easily make that in a few days from starting. There are resist sessions held if you watch out for them and you can gm resist practically for free.

IDK about bards, I have a GM provo but I actually prefer making gold on my dexer. Hyloth (4?) seems to be a great place for bards, there are 4 or 5 deamons that spawn there (quite quickly, I might add) along with a lot of orcs/ettins/gargoyles. Deamons give about 500gp a pop and occasionally you will get a good magic weapon from them. Their HP is quite low so they're quite easy to kill if you just avoid being targetted by them.

I tried tera keep on my bard but it was just more hassle than it was worth, I definitely make more gold farming liches on my dexer than there

The best tip I can give you is: you have 3 accounts at your disposal, use them. You can GM a lot of skills very easily using this to your advantage
<green> grats pink and co. .... the 3 of you f---ing scrubs together can blow up a bard. IMPRESSIVE

I always say, do whatever you have fun doing. I enjoy provo, I know how to do it, and I profit greatly from it (much more than killing liches, btw), but if you don't like it, and prefer a warrior or a mage, do that. Don't be so greedy, money will come over time; the most important thing is to have fun, we want to have players here a long time. Meet up with a bunch of guys that play your same hours, and enjoy the game. This game is so much better when you have friends, specially friends who will help you out at the beginning.
