Hiding and Stealing Issue

I'm trying to make a thief character, which I believe is based somewhat off chumbucket.

The problem I can't seem to find a solution for in the forums is that my character stops Hiding when I try to use the Stealing skill. I know this is just some setting I have wrong, because EdDennis has Stealthed into the dungeons and stolen my recall runes on more than one occasion. (I really hate that guy... ) So, what do I need to correct?

The new patch screwed all thieves over.

When you are stealthing and try to snoop, you will be revealed. You can however stealth up to them, hide and snoop. What this does is that it adds 10 seconds to stealing wich is completely ridiculous. Bye bye thieves of UOSA.

So, what do I need to correct?

keep your stuff in a locked box or carry more than 1 rune, that'll screw eddennis over big time

or attack him and 5 seconds later he will turn up on his red - engage pvp

why are you guys talking about stealthing and snoop when he says he's getting revealed when he tries to steal lol


answer: stealing will reveal you.

Ahah that's true ! Everybody gone mad with the last patch. But it's highly understandable : it's the birth of UO:R the way it was.
