Question about housing

Is there plenty of room for large housing? Don't need a tower really, but a large smith or L shaped would be nice to have.

Also, how's tailoring work here? Is the cost of spools of thread on NPC vendors nerfed to hell on other, era inaccurate free shards?

There is plenty of space for large houses. I bought a large house with patio and was shocked to see not even one house at chaos shrine.
