Quick question..

Post by Yancar »

I'm quite new here, I started a dexxer to try and making a little cash to get me on my feet, I tried hunting at lots of graveyards, if the skeleton or ghoul doesn't kill me then there is a griefer stealing my bandages or a PK killling me.. where in the hell should I go to make some money on my new dexxer.. ?

There's alot of griefers here. If you see anyone with the $$$ guild title, run for your life.

Try the Jhelom graveyard, rarely anyone there. Or Yew graveyard.

Jhelom GY is right on top of the guardzone, almost no pks go there.

As said above, most of the other graveyards are safe to start out with as a new player....if you'd like to try one a little more popular, my personal favorites are Moonglow and Vesper...both will bring you closer to other players, but without a fraction of the griefers you'll find in Britain.

If you're wanting to go even more recluse, simply go out and look for overland spawn...wandering the wilderness for different trolls, harpies, lizardmen, etc....Another good way to start off is to get a sextant and visit the message boards at a bank. Here you'll find little ransom quests that will lead you to a small camp of monsters with a nice little reward (can help to have the Unlock spell for these.)

Anyway, there's countless places that are safe for a new player to farm...just gotta look around and try to get a feel for which areas attract pks and which do not.

Hope that helps!

Nujelm can be very quiet at times, and Jhelom has great access to a bank close by. (be careful of the random lich)

Populus misled you, it is the guild [$$ you need to be wary of, they are a bunch of impersonating fools who want to greif as many new players as possible, which is a real shame as the last thing this server needs is another group of idiots. We have too many of those.

If you need anything find a member of the $$$ and they will do their best to help you, also the new player housing that our members have available could be of use to you if you are in need of a place to train up until you can stand on your own feet better.

Welcome to the server.

Actually this is baseless propaganda, Matron De Winter, Populus, Downs, Chumbucket, Pristiq and a few others are part of a well knows griefing guild here on UOSA called Chumbucket & Associates [cA] Guild, recently either them or friends of thiers have been running major slur campaign & attempts to griefagainst one of UOSA's Oldest and most trusted Merchant & player run event Guilds, Syndicate of successful Salesmen [$$$]

be careful, dont want to violate your agreement and have your guild banned from the forums now would you?

but I believe that's point and case in regards to the subject of [cA] being untrustworthy griefers of Secondage :) either way I am sure they will try and 'defend their honor' by having all of their members post nonsense in here now typical to their forum trolling tactics, good luck on Secondage Yancar! always use good house security!!

I really don't understand your definition to "griefing".

-Someone open a gate from his keep to a highly overpopulated place
-someone come into the gate
-the caster doesn't notice him
-the other takes unsecured items

Is that griefing? Or just a gift from a player to another?

It's best to my memory that Nujelm never had a healer - is there one on this shard?

So the main thing you're asking is where to make money with your dexxer? And you're not doing too well against the skeletons and ghouls, right? (trying to gauge your skill level). Maybe try hunting in the wilderness. The mongbats and headless ones give about the same amount of gold as skeletons/zombies, but they only appear alone. Also, there are zombies scattered around wilderness. That way, you can avoid griefers and such. But most graveyards are pretty empty... (tip: stay away from Brit graveyard. It's a dueling/grief zone.) Try the ones mentioned by others. I have no problem at Moonglow graveyard despite high traffic around that area. In fact, I think you should hop on over to Moonglow. It's newbie heaven. Easy monsters everywhere and a graveyard design where you can lure monsters one by one out.

And also you can check the maps & locations section at uo.stratics.com (many things are still relevant to the shard). Tons of places to hunt at for your skill level.

But anyway at such a low skill (50ish?) you won't be making much. It'd be pretty tedious to have just a dexxer as your first char... try making some crafters or bards. When I usually start on a shard, I make a crafter to easily get the gold flowin' and then I'd just transfer some $$ to my warrior/mage chars.
