Keys on Doorstep to House
I want to have a locked down key or a key in a secure box on my doorstep so I don't have to worry about always carrying my house key around on my character. However, it won't let me place a box on the doorstep. Nor can i lock down a key on the doorstep.
However, I have seen some people with a key ring outside that they do use. how do I do this?
Thanks.

Re: Keys on Doorstep to House
I'm new here, but i managed to lock items down on my doorstep in a method that was listed somewhere here on the forums.
Basically you gather 19 objects, i used a pile of 19 gold coins. Take one object out of the 19 (a single gold coin in my case) and place it on the doorstep. Take another one of the remaining 18 objects and place it on the same exact tile, but not stacking it with the first object you just put there.
You should now have a tile on your step with two INDIVIDUAL coins stacked one on top of the other. Do this with all 19 coins being sure you're putting them down individually and not adding them to a pile.
Finally, place the object you wish to lock down (the lock box in your case) as the 20th object in the pile. You should now be able to lock and secure it.
I'm not sure if you need all 19, but it worked for me non the less. Try messing around with it.
Hope it helps!

I use tables. They are much easier to stack and i think it only takes 2 or 3.

Thanks for the replies.
I did this, but it says I am not allowed to access my key? It's on the doorstep and I am the owner of the house. It is a single key, not a secure container.

Is it on a keyring?
