Hi guys,
I'm not sure what part of the T2A era this was however I distinctly recall a period where magic was not fully functional in town. IE you could not damage someone with magic in town. This created an interesting template of the "bandage warrior". Essentially order and chaos in towns was a massive warrior rumble due to this and mages provided more of a support role as the only spell they could really contribute damage with was via casting poison/paralyze or summoning elementals and daemons outside of town.
Does this shard function the same way? I remember some awesome order vs chaos wars around brit bank back in the day and whilst the combat 1 on 1 was quite simplistic it created some pretty great team work and an interesting alternative to the normal PvP outside of town.
I enjoy mage PvP as much as the next guy but this added some real variety and created an interesting alternative to PvP. If this isn't how it works could this be verified for era accuracy? It would be an absolute blast in my opinion.

Re: Magic in towns?
You'll find a few townies around but I don't think it's altogether too popular a way to PvP.
Most the fights I have participated in have been random occurrances outside of town/whilst hunting. The mentality here seems for the most part geared toward PKing and not actual consensual PvP (that mostly takes part at the events, or on test server).

Re: Magic in towns?
This is exactly what me and many other pvpers are trying to break. With events happening less, seems to be working. Next step is the end of hally spamming soon, then we're good to go!The mentality here seems for the most part geared toward PKing and not actual consensual PvP (that mostly takes part at the events, or on test server).
Also, townies will be more popular once the weapon cycling/hit on run is fixed. Warriors will be more powerful at killing runners then

Hoho, there are too a lot of fights in town. If you are grey and a bit weak, you should be ready to fight.nightshark wrote:You'll find a few townies around but I don't think it's altogether too popular a way to PvP.

A clans war in the town could be at least interesting.
