Tank Mage Killing?
Ive just recently begun pking, and honestly I kind of suck at it but am getting better. Im wondering how people actually kill each other here. The way I role is drop harm on someone to remove magic reflect, then from there drop explode/ebolt/ebolt or hally. Some people I can kill with this while others see the explode come up and precast greater heal. During casts on Ebolt they'll keep casting heal or Gheal and Im just wasting regs/mana on them at this point. So for all you 1337 pvpers what should I do in the case of self healing peeps?

Re: Tank Mage Killing?
You have to either..
do enough damage to kill them through their healing.
(explode-eq-hally for instance)
or
disrupt their heals while doing damage.
Hally-harm-hally, or something.
or
a combination of both, drop a bit of damage then start doing lesser damage while disrupting. This is why explode is so popular, you can land an explode and ebolt on someone to take 1/2 their hp, then start with the harm-hally spam disrupting their heals.
The whole pvp game is about tricking someone into casting heal when you have a spell ready to disrupt it. This is almost completely negated by the ability to mini heal non-stop through almost anything. The only thing you can really do in that scenario is to lay on enough damage to insta-kill them, or outlast them and wait for them to slip up.
It's really like a giant rock-paper-scissor game with spell combos.
I am a big fan of running in and meteor swarming people (it ignores magic reflect, and can do like 40 damage if not resisted), then hitting them with the weapon, followed by casting magic arrow and immediately targeting (to drop resist) and then harm (without targeting) incase they cast recall/Heal. I will then just hally spam them until they die or start running. When they run for it just keep harm up, and once the momentum gets high enough (you see them running consistantly, and not about to recall), cancel the target and start tossing potions, but be ready to harm them again immedaitely.
Now you see why leet-pvp-pk's come at you in groups.
Edit: I forgot to mention that having a weapon with magic-arrow charges is pretty good for this, because you can metoer them to almost 1/2 hp, then hit them to like 40 hp, also removing their reflect, and they practically die for you.

Ask for duel
Watch TV
Every 1.7 secs arm hally, disarm after you hear swing.
Watch hp so you don't die.
You are now a leet pvper.

Re: Tank Mage Killing?
It is tough to kill a competent player 1 on 1. You have to be clever; Matron's ideas are clever (the Meteor Swarm, the Magic Arrow). I fought a lot of people on this shard and never saw that; I never would have expected it. Not sure how I would have reacted to the MS "getting by" my reflect.
My own move involved Earthquake scrolls, precast Explosion, purple potions, a weapon strike, and possibly a gnarled staff of lightning. Also, unexpected by most people. You can search for it on the forums here. Other things people don't expect: poisoned weapons from a tank mage, a precast Wall of Stone can actually surprise and freeze a runner, etc. Get creative!
