Do the chests from shipwrecks decay while they are in your house?
I was in my tower last night and I clicked on a chest recovered from a shipwreck right as the server was saving. It was the 3rd in a stack of 5. After the server started up again the chest was gone.
The 2 chests on top of it had not moved down and looked like they were floating.
At first I thought maybe I moved it into one of the other chests on accident, but it's gone and I haven't found it since.
If this is normal then no big deal, I'll have to store stuff in different containers, if not, then I got hosed.

Re: Disappearing Chests
If you drag an item and drop it somewhere invalid (in your bag that is overweight, on a spell book etc) it will return to where you dragged it from.
If you drag a lower chest from a stack of them if you drop it at an invalid location it will return to where you dragged it from, however, the chests on top will have already fell down on top of it's original position leaving you with 2 chests on the same X,Y and Z, location.
I bet if you go back and look under and inside all the chests where you moved it from you will find it.

I actually do this purposefully while fishing up SOSs. Fill two chests and stack them, then try to place the bottom chest into the upper one. The top one drops on the drag, and the bottom one springs back on the release when there isn't room for it in the other one. Voila! -- nearly double the safe deckspace.
Re: Disappearing Chests
Well, I've looked everywhere, and the chest is nowhere to be found. It's not a big deal, just a few regs in it. I just didn't want to use the chests if they decayed or something.
Thanks for the feedback though!
