Stupid question guys,
but to use a magic weapon you need to use Item ID to show its properties right? and only the person that ID'd it can see those properties and gain the benefits?
Can i create a mule ID character and use him to ID the weapons then my main character can see what they are as well?

Re: Item ID
The weapons have the property whether you ID them or not. Easy to test - find a magic wand and use it on yourself. You'll get the effect whether you've ID'd it or not. Likewise with magic weapons - the vanquishing weapons hit harder, whether ID'd or not.
Re: Item ID
or make a newbie character and train up their item id and use that

Re: Item ID
You dont need to ID an item to get the benefits. Ive found some magic items on mobs Ive killed and on the ones that add to your skill you get a system message saying so and so skill has gone up.
Re: Item ID
1. You don't need to ID an item to get it's benefits.
2. If you ID it on a mule and give it back to another character who didn't ID it, the mule will see the real description of the item, but the other character won't.

Re: Item ID
Also keep in mind that if you plan on selling the item to a vendor, have a character that IDed it do so. You will usually get much more for it.
