Trying to play here TONIGHT!

Post by a Red Eminem »

I am receiving multiple error pop-ups...

-No CliLoc
Razor was unable to locate a suitable UO cliloc file.
Some text may not be displayed

Then the Welcome to Razor! box appears...
-I am able to input the server: and port; but in the load client: and UO Data Directory; it says 2D Client (Auto Detect).

I then click Okay and the No CliLoc box pops up again.

Now another box pops up...

-Could Not Start Client
Unable to launch the client specified. (Error: UNKNOWN_ERROR)
TwoD: "-null-"

I then click OK and nothing happens...

Can anyone help me with this problem?

Thank you,

Very strange that this would happen on a fresh install.
Try browsing the folder that contains your UO Client from the Razor Welcome screen. I'm not sure which client you're using, but it's likely c:\Program Files\EA Games\Ultima Online

If that doesn't work, reply with which client you installed.

This is the problem, I can't find the UO Client you listed in the guides forum, or he one listed here. As of right now I am at a stand still as all I've done is download what you listed in the guides forum.

It took forever like 6-7hrs to download, could there be a problem with the download listed in the link in the guide forum?

Please do what you can to help me start tonight.

Which ever client you downloaded will have to be installed. That sound like it's the problem. You'll have to find the file you downloaded (let me know the filename) and run or extract it. If it was the torrent file, you'll get a pop up with insctructions after it's finished extracting.

From the main website, use the link for IRC Chat in the left navigation menu for faster help. I'll watch for you in there.

IRC doesn't seem to work for me. I didn't download the bit-torrent, should I have? I did the other one which took forever to dl like 6hrs, and when it was inished i have a file named UOML_setup which does nothing when I double click it.

I also have the Razor_Latest file...I have searched my program files for anything closely related to what your talking about and all I find is one named "Razor" which has macors, language, rvp's screen shots, etc. Is there another way or place to download a uo that will work???

This is the problem, I suspect the file may not have downloaded correctly.
The torrent is probably the most reliable way to get the client, and it's a very old school client and matches our preferred client version.

I hate to be the one to say it, but i think you're going to have to redownload.

It's possible to intall from an old T2A era CD if you can find one kicking around.

The bit-torrent seems to be written in an alien language when i click on it. and when i click on the details: above the bit-torrent download, it brings me to the demonoid website which has the samuari empire on it.

Can you be specific in how to correct this error exactly so i can follow your directions???

The best and easiest method of downloading the torrent is to get this app:
http://www.utorrent.com/download.php

Still wishing you could get in IRC, sorry about the delays.

Ya I had problems with the uo mondains legacy stuff.... I'd just download the torrent. It's faster and you don't have to patch it and everyhting. No problems occured either.
