Gold net from Tamer, vs. Bard T-Hunter
For those that've used both just curious for future reference, how's the gold difference in farming from using a Tamer, VS using a Provo T-Hunter, per hour let's say?

Re: Gold net from Tamer, vs. Bard T-Hunter
Both as the same time! I've done it on slow night's
Park my bard in tera keep to provo balrons/farm lvl 5 tmaps. While my tamer is as elder gazers farming gold. Alt+tab.
Cant make money much faster then that.
FYI a Tamer in elder gazer's is faster then any T-mapper for gold farming. Although the T-mapper will get better items.

Awesome, thanks, how much should I be aiming for per hour as far as the two are concerned gold-wise?
I.E. how much would each be bringing in respectively once everything is said and done, roughly, if I might ask?

Taming at the Elder Gazers can bring in around 50k per hour. This includes prep time (clearing other monsters), taming dragons that die here and there, banking, etc. If you had 1 hour to make as much gold as you could, I estimate you'd get around 75-80k. But that's if you were all set up, had dragons already and the spawn cleared, and were not interrupted by PKs or anything else weird.

What about the T-Hunter/Bard? Just so I know while using him for the present
Re: Gold net from Tamer, vs. Bard T-Hunter
I don't have the slightest clue. Figuring out a bard rate would be easy - let's say 30k/hour. Less peak gp, but less set-up time than a tamer and you don't lose nearly as much if you die. Figuring out a t-hunter... all depends on what level maps you have, how long it takes you to get the maps, etc.

I recommend you make a tamer first. View this for fast taming gains... viewtopic.php?f=9&t=23711
Mike is bang on about the rate of gold per hour. But remember to consider that a T hunter can potentially dig up items that are worth 100k alone (Supreme vanq hally).
Both builds are excellent. Those are the two most fun PvM template's in my opinion.

It depends how much gold you need. In the time you could make a tamer who can control dragons and gate reliably, you could have a 2x bard with enough magery to recall. You can make 500k as a bard before your tamer is even ready to farm. Best method is to mark 5 spots to farm, recall to one, kill spawn, recall to next spot. Don't linger around wasting time waiting for the next creature to spawn.
If you are talented, make 2 bards, get some hiding, and you'll be able to nearly double your income. I use to make 100k+/hr triple farming with no hassle with 2 bards and an archer in Wind (lure demon into town, teleport onto ledge, shoot till dead - use Razor If statements to stay cured/healed)

Re: Gold net from Tamer, vs. Bard T-Hunter
Was looking around trying to find the answer, didn't see it posted in my search, does Taming rise faster if Animal Lore is GMed first, or should they be raised together?
My bard's going to be done long before the tamer obviously but I'd like to know which is the most efficient route for while I'm working the tamer in the background, should I have lore up first or does it matter? Thanks much

Doesn't matter. Animal Lore only impacts chance to control.

Re: Gold net from Tamer, vs. Bard T-Hunter
One more question on the Provo Bard's last skill,
I've read a bit about this but want to get a 2nd opinion before committing to the training,
My bard/t-hunter will have:
Music, Provo, Mage, Med, Carto, Lockpick
What should I go with for the 7th skill? Eval, Resist, or Wrestle?
I'm leaning toward Wrestle but I want to make the smartest choice. I'm aware going non-full-T-Hunter and having all 3 would be more PVP effective, but I think I'm going to stick with the T-Hunter route unless someone convinces me it's not worth it
EDIT: How is Discord here? Haven't heard any mention of disco

you couldnt disco back in the time, so it's not presented on this shard.

"Disco" is Enticement and you won't find it practical for a Treasure Hunter. I'd go with wrestling because it'll allow you to get off some clutch heals/teleports/invis'

I have this template, with wrestle. Choose wrestle unless you want to die really often.Azural Kane wrote:My bard/t-hunter will have:

<green> grats pink and co. .... the 3 of you f---ing scrubs together can blow up a bard. IMPRESSIVE
Re: Gold net from Tamer, vs. Bard T-Hunter
I have it with Hiding. Pretty effective. Sometimes I miss Wrestling, but Hiding helps a ton for dungeon chests. Not as much for t-map chests.
