Guild Stone Menu

Post by shuar »

View war list - list of guilds that your guild has declared war on, and those guilds which have declared war on you.

This option is missing for guildmembers.

http://web.archive.org/web/199911160400 ... guilds.htm

Images show option, date on bottom of page.

Currently we have no option to see who we declared war on and who delcared on us via guildstone.

If that image of the guildstone menu you provided is indeed era-accurate then we also don't have the guildmaster displayed on top of the main screen either..
[14:17] <UOSAPlayer4056> cr3w guild is a joke. Ran by staff members, multi client pking, this shards a joke and a half.

Good sign but I don't recall this being an option

On closer inspection that image appears to be the menu that appears to the GM. (the first one)

First picture is regular member menu. viewed by gm, which was same for regular members. Have to click the gm menu to see the 2nd one as gm. That menu is non existant here. It should show guilds you declare on, guilds who declare on you.

Also I noticed in the declare peace option you do not have the option to withdraw a war declaration seems you have to be in an active war state to declare peace which shouldn't be the case should be able to cancel even if the guild you declare war on has not accepted war.

Post a pic of a non gm viewing Sandro, the access guild master functions option is in the first pic on the site. That suggests to me guild master is viewing.

The guild stone on the server at the moment was designed by me and it was based off a text description of the menu options. However, this little piece of visual evidence from the stratics '99 site was found awhile back by me but after the code was written and given to Derrick. I pointed out the differences and told him what required fixing but it was probably put on the back burner since it's just a visual game mechanic that displays information. This should be fixed eventually but may have fell off the table well over a year ago much like the guarded towers/t2a locations that I gave him too.

Do you ever post anything that doesn't make it seem like you're the only person holding the shard together, Faust?

I don't see any indication with in my post discussing the prospect of keeping the shard together because of me. Secondly, my presence here has diminished significantly due to circumstanaces in my life/class work starting back up and making a comment about me being the 'person holding this shard together' now is one of the most absurd obversations in a long time by someone here.

Please keep the trash talk with in its designated forum where it should be with any of your future posts.

Thanks,
Faust

Not trash talk, just stop making it seem like every problem on the server is Derricks fault for not following your instructions. Thats an insult.

Please show me where in my post that I said it was Derrick's fault for not 'following' my instructions. Pretty sure it was pointed out in my post that this menu was designed by me using a text interpretation when writing the code. The minor visual inaccuracies would be my fault if there were blame to be tossed around. However, a visual issues such as this does not render any game play ineffective or impossible making it a rather moot issue.

I have a pretty good understanding of how Derrick does his work here because we are both very good friends that know each other quite well from working on projects together. I think a person should seriously look into some self esteem classes/or therapist if they take a comment such as "a visual low priority mechanic may have fell off the table" as an insult. I know for a fact that Derrick does/will not take the comment such as you are suggesting. He has mentioned items falling off the table hundreds of times here. We are all human and tend to forget about minor issues such as this or concentrate more on the higher prioritized issues at hand. This is common knowledge for anyone.

You only posted a response to start some of the usual enet drama that you consistently partake in with your other posts and IRC discussions.

Again, please keep it in the trash forum where it belongs.

These seem to be more than minor visual problems to me.

There could be alot of guild wars not happening because they missed the in game message and have no way of knowing war was even declared on them because the gump isn't there. Other than seeing the in-game message at the time of the declaration or having the opposing members come and ask/tell you to accept there is no way to know.

You cannot withdraw a war offer until after the guild declared on accepts the war.
