Question for buying a house

Post by Vile »

I see a lot of the sales on here are saying they want deed + 3 deeds or 2 small deeds or etc etc etc for housing. What exactly does that mean I have been playing here for almost a week now and have been able to farm about 70k and I am trying to figure out how much I will need to save for a decent house.

Thanks!

deed + small would mean they want the smae deed as the house and a small house deed for it.

deed + 3smalls

Deed = deed of the same type of house being sold. For instance, if they are selling a 2 story, deed would equal a 2 story house.

Since it is difficult to trade in pure gold (200k gold is bulky, and hard to trade), people often use house deeds as currency since you can sell the deed back to the NPC for gold. So, instead of paying 200k gp for a house, you would hand over a 2 story house deed which is pretty close to that amount.

So, if a 2 story house is being sold for deed + 3 smalls, you would hand them a 2 story house deed, plus 3 small house deeds as payment, instead of the actual gold.

Scroll down and you can see the prices for each type of house then just do the calculations of the total for the house you are looking to buy.
