Your ADD kicking back in?

was that you macroing stealing in trinsic from a packie?

I like my bard but lack of resist means im on the run alot. and i LOVE hiding considering good bard spots are nice pk spots...

100 Music
100 Provo
100 Magery
100 Med
100 healing
100 Anat
100 hiding.

Just my template.... there are probably better ones out ther but i really enjoy this template as a farmer.

This what my bard has as all of ours are different

Eval Int
Magery
Med
Provo
Music
Hiding
Resist spells

Just think with magery and pots dont need healing cause that would be 3 ways to heal and use tha anatomy slot with eval int
so when you have to hit you hit harder. ie two titans and must get that one that lived a good ebolt

taming is probably the biggest cash cow in the history of UO...

Provo is good but you need two equal creatures to beat each other down.

And then it would take them forever to kill each other so you need regs, blades or evs plus a finishing shot on which ever one lived.

It isnt super easy money having to worry about dispels and your summons flagging you buy targeting players.

I'm about to finish my thief as well, and have the beginning of a bard going.

Music
provo
mage
med
eval
resist
hide

does anyone ever use wrestle on a bard template... or even peacemaking?

Took a little different tact from Hoots.. Here is my bard template and I love it. Archery is a nice compliment here to help bring down monsters that take forever to beat each other up. Anatomy gives boost to dmg and compliments the healing skill. Archery is slow but it does pack a punch.

100/85/40

Musicianship
Provocation
Magery
Healing
Hiding
Archery
Anatomy

I made a bard myself, I only have Music and Provocation at the moment. Khar's looks interesting. The lower INT doesn't hurt music or provocation?

Having a bow would be nice to finish something off.

As far as I can tell INT has very little to do with Provo. Ask Hoots I rarely fail a provocation when we are hunting. Actually now that you made me think about it I can't remember the last time I did fail trying to provoke something.... Remember this build is built for nothing but farming, it has some utility and escapability if you get jumped by a PK, but forget about going toe to toe with anybody. The lack of resist also makes it a little trickier to farm magic using monsters, but the magery and healing make up for it. Really the 40 int is just so I can cast 7th circle spells (Gate). And I think the lack of tactics doesn't hurt Archery as much as another weapon skill. The Anatomy boost helps and really the archery is just to help kill things faster and is not you primary source of damage.

With hiding it makes the build really intersting.. run into a room and hide. Spend the time to bring up and organize all the health bars and then just starting provoking the groups you set up (I organize the health bars in pairs across my screen to be able to keep things straight with the provoking). I can clear the large harpy rooms in no time flat to farm for feathers this way. Stay mobile on a horse and just have a hot key to band aid yourself when needed. You have enough staying power to stand toe to toe with things (best part is you can wear armor since you aren't dependent on med.. so I'm always in a full suit of bone or chain/bone combo) until your provoke timer resets. Combined with pure dexer with healing you can do some serious room clearing using provoke to control things and healing/curing each other since the self cure timers BLOW (hence the GM magery too). Give it a whirl.. very low cost template to get up and running too (just the 50-60k for magery and band aids for healing.. this was my first so I farmed a lot of sheep to raise healing).

My template is:

hiding
lockpick
magery
resist
music
provo
meditation

eventually will swap either hiding or resist for cartography.

This template allows me to provoke and rotate around the level 3/4 dungeon treasure chests in relative safety. In terms of money making, I can't think of a better way.

So I should have tried to provoke Deacon on you last night in Wrong and it would have worked?! I don't think it is 100% but it is pretty damn close. I might not have failed from the skill but from the attacking logic but I have failed a provoke since I've been 100/100, mind you it happens once in a blue moon, but it isn't 100%.
