How would I go about doing this considering I have no house yet and all the hides are in the bank?

I'm just wondering because leather is pretty heavy

You can either do it in smaller portions, use a broker, or make a forum post indicating who your selling to and have them respond to the post. Most players would just go to a remote bank, reveal, and drop the leather on the ground for the other person. That is fully dependent on who the person buying is, whether or not they are honest.
