Heal/Nox/Tamer

Post by ktemplar17 »

I'm not sure the build I'd like my PvP mage build to be and I was hoping for a little feedback from the community.

Standard:
Mage
Eval
Med
Resist

Heal Mage:
+Heal
+Anat
+Wrestling

Nox Mage (Do these exist at this point?)
+ Poisoning
+ Wrestling
+ Hiding

Tamer (Not sure if this is viable for PvP)
+ Taming
+ Lore
+ Vet

I'd add wrestling to any standard mage build.

Not great as bandage healing takes a while, and your only weapon will be magery.

Poison is pretty much a joke here. Nox mages are not from this era.

Drop Vet and you have a nice tamer build....or keep vet and drop eval or resist. Not tremendously viable for PvP.

Your best bet is to do a standard hally mage:
Basic +:
Swds
Tactics

What this does is give you 2 ways of inflicting damage, with magery and a weapon. Since your dex should be less than 40, then you'll be wasting time with a fast weapon, you're better off with a slow weapon that does big damage, and the best one at that is the halbred, hence the term hally mage.

I've seen successful macer-mages using warhammers or qstaffs, and fencer-mages using long spears.
