Horse Prices
I remember vendor horse prices being 700+ gold.
They seem a little cheap for the gain, also do they have unlimited stamina? Mine never stops..

Re: Horse Prices
They do not have unlimited stamina, I can definitely vouch for them tiring out. You get a warning when they are low on stamina and eventually they become too tired to move.
It takes a few minutes of running to tire them out.

Re: Horse Prices
It seems as if their stamina regen is insanely fast. On my mage I never run my horse out, but on my dexer I'm constantly running out. The only difference I see is that my mage has to stop to cast spells.
Re: Horse Prices
That could be it. I remember when my horse ran out I had to feed it. Trying to stand around and wait for it to regen would leave it without stamina again very soon.
I *could* sit around a min for it to rest and then walk...but without feeding it, as soon as I started running...boom, out of stamina again.

Re: Horse Prices
"all follow me" and the stamina was replenished. There was no need to use food or wait for its stamina to regenerate.
Re: Horse Prices
I never knew much about bug use when I played but thats still fine....at least that forces them to dismount...which people still dont' do.Faust wrote:"all follow me" and the stamina was replenished. There was no need to use food or wait for its stamina to regenerate.
Re: Horse Prices
The stamina drained pretty quickly back then. People that used fastwalk should be all too familar with this. The "all follow me" bug was fixed around the UOR publish, and during this fixed they significantly increased all stamina for mounts. The problem with using this bug was that there was a risk of an enemy killing the mount. It would be nice if this bug was reimplemented along with the correct stamina reduction based on your character's weight ratio. I think it would make things much better.
One more thing I don't ever remember is people losing stamina while on a mount from moving. I know the horse lost stamina, but I don't think the character literally lost stamina unless he was over weight or beat on by a mace. I don't think stamina was lost on your character while mounted from moving. Does anyone else remember this also?

If you're commenting about my post, I'm talking about horse stamina.Faust wrote:One more thing I don't ever remember is people losing stamina while on a mount from moving. No, I wasn't adding additional problems that I see with horse stamina including the incorrect depletion of it and many other features that existed during t2a.Red wrote:If you're commenting about my post, I'm talking about horse stamina.
Re: Horse Prices
You made a living not because they they were more expensive in stables, bc they weren't ... its because they didn't spawn in the old lands, only in T2A ...Hemperor wrote:raise horse prices

Tamer could go came a ton of horses in T2A and bring them to sell at bank. Currently, they spawn anywhere [Old lands, and T2A]

Re: Horse Prices
Didn't horses use to spawn on that island right off of Trinsic? (the one you can walk to)
I know Llamas and Ostards spawned in the Lost Lands.
I also remember horses costing more than 550gp each off the NPC.

Re: Horse Prices
I don't remember horses not spawning just about everywhere. Yes, horses were a little more expensive, and yes, a little above 700 gold I believe. I haven't complained though cause hey, 550 gp is a better bang for your buck! Stamina actually does run out too lol.. trust me... And yes All Follow Me did replenish the stamina, although a bug or whatnot, im not sure if it was EVER Fixed so it should be implemented.. when people got off their horse to do this, it would be attacked instantly, was a tactic.

Re: Horse Prices
From what I can remember you didn't lose stamina while running on your mount. You could run for hours by jumping off the horse and saying all follow me and go back on.Faust wrote:
