WIN A SMALL DEED

Post by Teh LawL Firm »

I'm interested in how some people have died in this game for some of the most stupidest reason, Be it Guard whacked, Killed yourself, Friend didn't heal, Died to spawn on accident, Etc and did you have something on you that was valuable when you died.

The person with the best story will get a small deed.

Screen shots are a plus- but not mandatory.

I'll announce winner Saturday night.

I decided to collapse my house in hopes of getting my small deed back and buying a bigger one.

I couldnt find one within my price range and thought, meh...ill live out of the bank for a while.

The next day, while wandering through the brit graveyard, I came across two young men having a discussion about women. One of the two men said something, I cannot recall exactly what, and I decided to kill him for it. Little did I know, this was the last count I could take before becoming a murderer.

Being the brave young toaster I am, I remained in the GY. Only to be ganked by Meklin and someone else.

Forgetting all about the deed that I had on me.

I walked away from this experience learning one great lesson.

Im stupid.

Lightshade got pinned down and died to a jwilson.

I have also gated "N" reds to town and got them guardwhacked.

Or of course: I died opening the dungeon chest on which I GMed Lockpicking.

I'll collect on all their behalf.

I can't believe this event is getting more attention than mine. My prize is also substantially larger.

Hats off to you Lawl Firm.

It was my first time playing, on my brother's character in the minoc orc camp (north western tip above minoc) and I died to pks and mobs several times. Instead of releasing to the spirit world, I chose to resurrect on spot at the cost of a penalty several times (at least 3 times). This was before t2a and before we knew how to macro so it was a pretty big deal.

I'll take a shot at this -

Mind you this has not only happened once, but multiple times in my UO career since 1998.

Quite often I am farming at terethan keep when I start to become bored. The area below the keep where the swamp is always strikes curiosity in me (The real deep area where the ophidians are everywhere, mostly because it is probably the least area I have ever visited in all of Britannia). I always find myself wanting to wander down and explore the very bottom of it until I can't go down any further.

As they say - curiosity killed the cat! Every time I seem to want to wander down there I get stuck in the stupid tile that you get stuck in and can't move at all, thus having all of the ophidians surround and kill me instantly. Recall is disabled in this particular spot, so recall is out of the question. As if the death itself isn't enough, my ghost is also stuck and I end up having to 'use help' to get out of there.

I can't say I've lost anything 'major', but I have lost a lot of loot and awesome weapons (and many a horses!!!!). The most expensive thing I have lost was probably the pure mare I was on (who was also stuck on the tile...>=[ )

To me, this is the most frustrating single tile in the entire game!!!!!

Well lets see.

I was freshly stocked and chasing a grey thief through town in Brit along with another blue. I don't have his bar up so I am trying to double click him to attack with my hally. I fall behind slightly and catch back up and round the corner and double click the blue instead of the thief and get guard whacked and looted.

I lost a power hally, regs/pots/etc.

If only I wasn't drunk and remembered to target closest grey+attack last target :(

Probably because getting 5 of your buddies on for a certain time would be rather hard, let alot getting 4 teams to do it. Should host a 1vs1 or 2vs2 event. Pretty sure you would get alot of interest then, besides the contest I'm doing is cake, just type how you died in a stupid way and what you lost hehe.

I don't know how stupid others might find it but I found myself laughing IRL.

I was awaiting a Wyrm Death on the center tile of the ledge above it when some blue came through and purposefully aggroed my EV turning me grey. I sat comfortably on the ledge thinking I would just hide if he tried to EV me up there (super bad news if it's ever happened to you). He runs back down with a precasted EV and fizzled, prompting me to hide. He continues fizzling (5 times maybe?). And as my confidence rises I decide it's a great idea to just cast dispel and have it loaded for when this guy gets it off. Murphy's law kicks in as I am 3/4 through my dispel cast, he drops the EV on me.

Interrupted Rel Por about 8 times and I end up dying, stuck on the ledge.

Kicker is that I have a macro for an invis ring which would have easily saved my ass, but I wigged out trying to Tele off the ledge.

I like to chase idocs. I get a lot of stuff. I'm lazy, I don't like to organize the stuff I get. I don't lock chests of mad loot down until I organize them. I don't like to have to double click keys to get in and out of my houses. I don't like to have to axe trash barrels or unlock tables to get in and out of my house. I don't like to go to the bank alot so I carry runes and keys to my houses. I know better but don't care. I enter Ice Dungeon during a heavy spawn event and die quickly. My body gets looted and my house gets mostly looted until I banzor looters. I rage quit for the summer. A few months later I log back in and meet a Blue PK who will eventually turn red in the very near future. I escape from him. I go back for more on my bard. I die, he goes to loot my house and gets banzored. I had organized what was left of my loot by then. He gives me my stuff back. I probably shouldn't be writing this. I don't care because I secure all my loots now. :-)
