so i made my townie (no resist with parry) into an archer for events specifically. the idea behind the template was to just run around hitting people w/ a bow forcing them to stop attacking a team member and heal themselves. i find that this helps the team out a bunch
archery
swords
macing
tactics
anat
heal
resist
i really dont use macing because i want the high damage of a hally hit if i'm close enough. so i'm looking to drop that. parry would be nice, no? or should i try and force magery onto this char for whatever reason i'd need gm magery in an event?
plz discuss

Re: Archer Event Template
magery is pretty much a must in all of my templates, burst heals are a sexy addition to any warrior. especially in most events where you can fall back into the ranks and get a quick heal

dominos new recipe, any g00d? y/n?
Re: Archer Event Template
i have virtually the same temp, yet i have macing instead of swords.
the good thing about macing is it times well with the bow, for the combo of...
archery strike, war hammer, q-staff. if you manage to pull that off, that is pretty heavy.
and i find the temp is able to survive fine with pots and without magery. with or without parry, but i am concidering putting parry back onto this temp.
mind you this temp, thrives more in team events, than anything else.
i have won a 2v2 event once, i dont get to play them that often. i was with a good mage and he was patient enough to allow me to cross heal.
and if you are looking at team events, where you are the 1st to charge into the enermies room, there is little use for magery, since they can so easilly inturpt you.
actually i will be putting parry back onto my temp (i was concidering magery for a while)
magery would rox 2v2 however... smaller group fights...
